Ziegler sounds like the perfect candidate for the UN Human Rights Council. He should fit right in! ;-)
At the age of 74 though you'd think he could be pensioned off rather than laterally promoted out of his current position. The guy sounds like a total embarrassment to the Swiss.

He fits right in. He got the most votes 40 out of 44 for the position when he was voted into office yesterday.
On the same day Richard Falk was appointed as John dugard's successor for investigating Israel. While Dugard's speciality was to call Israel an Apartheid state Falk's recommendation seems to be that he repeatedly alleged that Israel's "state terrorism" is much worse than anything the poor Palestinians put up.
