1 October 2008 - Hasselbeck holds her ground

I've been in so many debates--on Israel, South Africa, the US election--when I have felt just like Hasselbeck must have felt today:

The last resort of nonsense is always to drown out truth. Hasselbeck stands up for herself.

Way to go!

we agree on most things but not on Sarah Palin.I dont think Hasselbeck held her ground at all in the debate. In fact I feel the only one who presented a balanced view was smart/sassy Whoopi Goldberg who likes McCain and did not try to trash Palin. Hasselbeck, for me, for the most part, came across as a "Babbelbek" whose defensiveness did not impress. When asked at the end about why Palin would make a good President she immediately turned the question to Obama's credentials and then had to be pushed by Barbarah Walters to say "energy expert",head of National Guard in time of war" and "Governor". I agree with Whoopi that all the candidates leave much to be desired in terms of having the "right stuff". Theo S

Why is the media treating Palin like she is the major candidate running for POTUS?

Ageism? Deflection tactics?

Who knows...
