31 March 2008 - Richard Falk, anti-Israel UN investigator, 9/11 TROOFER
I can't believe I overlooked this--and that everyone else has, as well: Princeton prof Richard Falk, newly-appointed by the UN Human Rights Council as its "Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967," is also a devoted supporter of the crackpot "9/11 Truth" movement, which denies that Al-Qaeda attacked the U.S. on September 11, 2001.
Check out this radio interview, as well as the foreword Falk wrote to David Ray Griffin's 9/11 conspiracy theory book, The New Pearl Harbor. According to this Troofer website, Falk even worked to find a publisher for Griffin's book.
This is the man who will be reporting on Israel's human rights violations for the next several years. The U.S. should immediately demand the removal of this man from his post. Or, better yet--keep him there, the better to discredit every one of his bogus reports.

Considering the makeup and leadership of the UNHRC, I ask, would expect anything less? Our relationship with the UN reminds me of the old adage, "Keep your friends close, your enemies closer." There comes a time, however, to disengage and step back a safe distance. Especially true if it is our money funding the institutional diatribes.
Falk is lying, treasonous scum.
He'll fit in at the UN just fine.
What is interesting is the parameters of this "Special Rapporteur" duties i.e. "on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967,"
This is stating that there are other Palestinian territories and that can only mean Israel proper.

Dear writer of the "Guide to the Perplexed". I think your review about the report by Mr. Falk shows your perplexed nature. Do you think that Mr. Falk who is intelectual enough to be a professor at princton will be comparing Israil with Nazis with out any proof. Kindly highlight this as well.

Do a little research on Mr. Falk to learn about his life long history of anti American activism.

A better question would be "Why does Princeton sustain the likes of Falk?

I just tripped over your blog, so excuse me if I'm not part of your echo chamber. Your post on Falk is completely devoid of substance. It's nothing but guilt by association with people and positions that don't approve of your favored "can do no wrong" constituency, i.e. Israel. You haven't engaged with a single argument Falk has made.
How can anyone (even Jews like Falk) mount any legitimate criticism of Israel without being labeled anti-semetic? How can anyone even suggest that there could be legitimate grounds for criticizing Israel without being labeled anti-semetic? I resonate with the words, "Never again!" but only if it means never again should ANYONE be allowed to oppress ANYONE. If you simply mean never again should Jews be victims (and therefore Israel can do anything it deems to be in its own security interests, regardless of its consequences for others) how does that put you morally above Hitler who rallied Germans from the humiliation of WWI and essentially said never again should Germany be a victim?

Think about all the military aid that the US has given to dictatorships and banana republics. By your reckoning the UN sounds like a great place for the US to hang and make new friends.

There are indeed people in the 9/11 Truth movement who "deny that Al-Qaeda attacked the U.S. on September 11, 2001," but that's certainly not true of everyone in the 9/11 Truth movement, nor is it the defining characteristic of the 9/11 Truth movement. What the 9/11 Truth movement does revolve around is a perception that there has been a significant coverup and that an independent investigation is needed.
People in the 9/11 Truth movement have a wide variety of beliefs about what may have been covered up. Personally, I'm inclined to believe that there were indeed live human hijackers on 9/11 and that Al Qaeda is a real network. but that there is quite a bit of evidence of at least criminal negligence, and possibly worse, on the part of high official in the Bush administration.

You think it's all a joke, Joel, but you'll be down on your knees in the next lifetime, asking forgiveness from all the people you call "Troofers." That's how God metes out justice, Joel.
It won't be easy for you. The elite fools you hang with won't be there to help you when you stand before God and have to make amends. You'll be kissing "troofer" ass forever in the afterlife.
